Reval-Sport bible or our house rules

In this blog post, we focus on our club's rules and remind you of the most important topics that we could all pay more attention to. The rules of the rules are designed to ensure a pleasant and safe training environment for everyone. We ask all our club members and visitors to follow them and thereby be an example for others.

A workout towel ensures a clean environment for everyone

Using a training towel is mandatory in our club, both in group training and in the gym. People often think, “but I don’t sweat that much,” “I wear long training clothes,” or “I don’t need one.” But why is using a training towel so important? This ensures a cleaner and more hygienic environment for both you and your fellow trainers. The towel protects the leather surfaces on the machines from sweat and moisture and thus significantly reduces the formation of unpleasant odors.

Even if you think you don't sweat that much, think about your own cleanliness. Would you want to train in someone else's sweat? Using a training towel also helps limit the spread of seasonal illnesses and viruses, as it reduces direct contact and contact with bacteria. Of course, it is also important to clean your training equipment and tools after yourself, but the towel is like the "cherry on the cake" so that we all have a clean, long-lasting and pleasant training environment!

A towel designed for cleaning gym equipment is not the same as a workout towel

Reval-Sport sports club is a paperless environment, which means that we use towels to clean machines and equipment. Towels for cleaning are located in the middle of the gym next to the screen and in the group training rooms. Use it exactly the same way as paper, i.e. by spraying disinfectant on it and using it to clean the equipment. After training, please return the towels to the basket provided. Cleansing towels are not intended for wiping sweat, drying the body, using under saunas, or taking home as a souvenir.

Group training isn't just for you.

Being late for group training is unpleasant not only for you but also for your fellow trainers. At the beginning of the training, the trainer usually makes an introduction and provides information about what equipment will be used in the given class, what the structure of the specific training is, and what to expect from today's training. This is to ensure that the training goes smoothly and pleasantly. Being late affects the dynamics of the workout, disturbs both other participants and the trainer, and can affect the quality of the workout.

Another important aspect worth mentioning when it comes to group training is no-shows. There are a limited number of places in group training, which takes away the opportunity for someone else to participate. On the other hand, there are some training sessions where the trainer can make the class more exciting and varied, for example, if an even number of people participate in the class. A professional trainer is always aware of how many people are coming to the training and is also guided by this when choosing exercises. Therefore, if you have booked a place for yourself, but for some reason you cannot come, always inform us in advance. According to our club's booking guidelines, a member who does not show up for training twice will be automatically banned from booking for the next two weeks. This is to ensure a place for those who value their own time, the time of their fellow trainers, and the time of the trainer.

The cleanliness of the water park is our shared responsibility.

Before going to the water park, remember that washing without swimwear is mandatory. This simple and elementary action helps keep the pool water cleaner and reduces the spread of bacteria. Even those people who wash themselves every morning use perfume, various body care products and sweat during the day. Now imagine that you bring all this into the pool water and hundreds of other strangers do the same. So be an example, help keep things clean, and always wash yourself without your swimsuit before going into the pools. And as a bonus, we'll leave you with one more thought - the more correct the hygiene of visitors, the lower the chlorine content in swimming pools, because chlorine is used in swimming pools precisely to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Dress code: closed sports shoes and workout clothes

Just as you probably wouldn't wear sportswear to a formal event, you should also consider the appropriate clothing and footwear when going to the gym. The gym is not a place to come in flip-flops, barefoot or in socks. This happens more often than you think, with the weight slipping out of your hand when you lift it onto the machine or the dumbbell bouncing (with force) when you put it down. Closed sports shoes provide more protection, but also provide stability. Flip-flops or socks do not provide slip resistance and training in them increases the risk of injury. The right sports shoe should be chosen according to the purpose. A running shoe is suitable for a treadmill, and a lifting shoe with a hard sole is the right shoe for powerlifting. These requirements are to ensure your own safety during training.

On behalf of the entire Reval-Sport team, we thank all our members and visitors for following and complying with our rules of procedure. Only together can we create a pleasant and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Have fun training and see you at the club!
