Our member Mart Kuusk rowed across the Atlantic with Hannes Hanso
Our club member Mart Kuusk, together with Hannes Hanso, were the first Estonians to row across the Atlantic. Mart Kuusk trained for the race at Reval-Sport.
Now the rowing boat Kena Raina has found its place in Tallinn's Lennusadam Port. Kena Reina is a unique ocean-going boat that has withstood Atlantic storms and carried a true spirit of adventure. This extraordinary vessel has now found a dignified place in the Lennusadam Port as a museum – capturing an outstanding achievement.
It was on this boat that Hannes Hanso and Mart Kuusk became the first Estonians to row across the Atlantic Ocean – a journey that required both physical and mental endurance. The beautiful Reina is an R25 model, manufactured in the UK by Rannoch Boat Masters. World records have been broken and oceans crossed with the same type of boat – now you can see this legend with your own eyes at Lennusadam!
