Children's Swimming Competition All Our Ducklings FINALE
Last Saturday (May 17th), our talented little swimmers participated in the finals of the All Our Ducklings competition. What makes the final special is that the children who have swum the fastest times in each event will qualify. The following from our club made it to the finals: Anni Kaarde – 50m crawl, 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke and 100m individual medley, Gloria Cherry – 50m breaststroke, Sofia Han – 50m backstroke and Mairold Madi – 50m backstroke, in addition to the youngest, both the 25m crawl and 25m backstroke qualified for the finals Mattias Stamm ja Mattias Lock.
The finals are always serious and everything has to come out perfect to earn a high place.
Years surpassed himself in all events and set personal records: 50m freestyle with a time of 35,25 (4th place), 50m backstroke with a time of 40,57 (4th place), 50m breaststroke with a time of 50,13 (8th place) and 100m individual medley with a time of 1.33,16 (5th place).
Gloria repeated his breaststroke record with a time of 52,73, earning 13th place.
Sofia swam the 50m backstroke with a new personal best of 50,37 (21st place).
Mayrold repeated his record in the 50m backstroke with a time of 1.06,83:XNUMX.
It is also worth noting that this time we participated in a relay for the first time, where two boys and two girls swam the 4x50m freestyle and the 4x50m medley relay. Our club was represented by Anni Kaarde, Gloria Kirs, Björn-Henry Adamson and Mairold Madi. They swam in the 50m crawl relay Björn-Henry ja Gloria very strong new personal records, Bjorn Henry swam with a time of 43,12 and Gloria with a time of 43,11.
Competing in the younger age group were: Mattias Lock ja Mattias Stamm. Mattias Lock swam the 25m crawl in 21,70, which is his new personal best, and the 25m backstroke in 24,22, which was slightly behind his personal best this time. Mattias Stamm swam the 25m crawl in 21,98 and the 25m backstroke in 25,39, both of which are his new personal records.
Since to qualify for the finals, you had to be in the top 24, 16 or 8 (depending on the area) with your time, big kudos to the children and it's great to see that the efforts paid off and we made it to the finals.
